Etesia Launch Two New Professional Pedestrian Mowers
This autumn, Etesia has launched two new professional pedestrian rotary mowers – the PKCTM and LKCGM Duocut models.
The PKCTM model is a 46cm single speed machine equipped with a 6HP Kawasaki KAI-FS181 engine and comes complete with a 50 litre grass box. Cutting heights are quickly adjusted from 28-85mm. As a direct result of demand from local authorities and contractors, this machine has a large capacity fuel tank which is designed to allow operators to complete a full day’s work without the need to re-fuel.
In addition to the large capacity fuel tank, there are important Health & Safety benefits – the need for less frequent refuelling which reduces the risk of spillage when working on site and, in turn, operator-exposure to petrol fumes is therefore minimised. The hazards associated with transporting petrol cans can also be eliminated, and, with once-a-day fill-up at the depot, consumption can be cost effectively monitored.
Built to withstand the rigours of commercial use, the PKCTM has a tough Xenoy cutting deck, making it lightweight and easy to transport. As with all rotary mowers in the Duocut range, it offers low vibrations combined with high performance, quality cut and reliability – features which make many of the UK’s top councils and local authorities as well as landscapers and groundsmen come back year after year with large repeat orders.
The LKCGM is a 53cm model equipped with a 6HP Kawasaki KAI-FS180 engine and three speeds – 2.7, 3.5 and 4.5km/h. It is fitted with an 80 litre grass box with cutting height adjustment from 25-85mm and an aluminium cutting deck.
Extremely versatile, both new models are capable of mowing with or without collection in all conditions, or for high-quality mulching. And they do all that without the need for an accessory.
That high performance is possible thanks to the Duocut concept which is the perfect combination between 100% collection and 100% mulching decks, without compromising the results of either of the functions. Changing the mowing system is easy: just place the removable insert under the deck if you want to mulch. Remove the insert if you prefer to mow with or without collection. There is no need for a tool or blade change. The insert completes the shape of the deck to form a smooth surface with no roughness, allowing the grass to move easily for incomparably superior mulching.
Excellent mulching results with a very high collection performance, even if the grass is long and wet is compacted in the grass collection boxes, complete with box filling indicator.
Both models come, as standard, with ‘soft grip’ handle bars which can fold for easy transportation.

Among a range of new product launches from Etesia this autumn are two high quality professional rotary mowers, two domestic pedestrian lawn mowers and a new revolutionary electric wheel barrow.
Once again, Pellenc is proving that it is technologically ahead of the field with the launch of its Excelion 2000 ‘cow-horn’ handle professional brushcutter, sold exclusively in the UK by Etesia.
As with all other Pellenc products, the Excelion 2000 uses the ultra-high capacity technology of the Pellenc lithium battery and guarantees non-polluting, odourless operation with quick start-up and up to 4.5 hrs of continuous operation.
As part of Devon Council’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint, South Hams District Council has purchased a range of Pellenc battery-powered grounds maintenance equipment. The new machines, supplied and supported by local dealer Radmore and Tucker are already showing significant savings in fuel expenditure and also considerable environmental advantages.
“We only have to pay for electricity to charge the battery, so the fuel costs are next to zero and the range is greater compared to petrol so even before we do our analysis at the end of the season we know that our fuel efficiency is much better. Equally important, of course, is the reduction in our carbon footprint,” said David Burkes, charge hand gardener for South Hams District Council.

National grounds management company Glendale has confirmed its commitment to quality by recently purchasing a range of 60 Etesia Pro 46 models, increasing their fleet to around 300 Etesia machines.
RHS Wisley has purchased a range of environmentally-friendly battery-powered Pellenc equipment to keep tree & hedge cover along with grass clippings & debris in check, quietly and without fumes.
This year’s weather has seen rain alternating with spells of warm, dry sunshine – the ideal conditions for encouraging grass, weeds, saplings and other unwanted plants to grow strong and lush. Holywell-Cum-Needingworth Parish Council in Cambridgeshire has chosen Etesia’s Attila 98X four-wheel-drive ride-on brushcutter to clear this sort of overgrown vegetation.
The 35-acre Polesden Lacey National Trust property on the North Downs at Great Bookham, Surrey, one of the Trust’s most popular properties, is now using Pellenc battery-powered equipment to keep tree & hedge cover and grass verges in check, quietly and without fumes.
Nottingham City Council has taken delivery of eight new Etesia PRO46 pedestrian mowers to maintain the large parks located throughout the area, which brings the fleet size to over 40 mixed Etesia machines in all.
