New Pellenc Dealer for West Midlands

Etesia UK, the exclusive distributor of Pellenc battery-powered equipment in the UK, has announced Midlands Groundscare Machinery (MGM) as the new Pellenc dealer for the West Midlands area.

MGM, a new independent groundscare company based in Solihull, was formed by the experienced Dave Tullett who has worked within the groundscare industry for over 27 years. A fully qualified BAGMA instructor and assessor and experienced agricultural engineer, Dave is keen to use his knowledge and expertise to provide trustworthy, professional advice and support when sourcing new equipment or providing high quality servicing and maintenance.

It is safe to say that Dave understands the market extremely well and knows what brands of machinery his customers will want to see at his Depot in Knowle. The addition of the Pellenc range of equipment, including battery powered chainsaws, hedge trimmers and brushcutters, will present MGM’s customers with a lighter, odourless, noise-free and more cost effective alternative to fuel based machinery. Pellenc has launched their first professional lawnmower – the Rasion which is available in push and self-propelled options and offers impeccable cutting quality for all types of mowing work undertaken by landscapers and local authorities.

Thanks to its environmentally-friendly credentials, the Rasion produces less noise than conventional petrol-powered mowers meaning users can work in noise sensitive areas at any time of day. With no fuel management or consumption, zero CO² emissions and made from recyclable materials; this is a pedestrian mower of the future.

A new high efficiency motor of 93% for reduced energy consumption, a dual blade for a finer, more precise cut optimise the mowing time. Power comes from an ULiB 1100 Pellenc battery of 2000W.

Electronic speed setting of the blades from 3000 to 5000rpm on the handle bars, a cutting width of 60cm, 70 litre grass box capacity and two front swivel wheels ensure the Rasion is ultra-manoeuvrable. Pellenc has launched their latest hedge trimmer – the Helion Compact 2 which is the lightest battery-powered hedge trimmer on the market

Etesia has launched two new ride-on models – the Buffalo BPHP2 two-wheel drive and the Buffalo BPHPX2 four-wheel-drive options which can cut, collect or mulch; and with the use of a deflector, cut high grass areas – in all weathers.

The new generation model enhanced features include:

Midlands Grounds Machinery (MGM), based in Solihull, will be Etesia UK’s recognised dealer for the West Midlands area. Offering professional support, sales and servicing for a wide range of lawnmowers and groundscare equipment, MGM was seen as a perfect fit for Etesia.

“I’ve been dealing with Etesia for the past 20 years now and I used to sell the very first Hydro 100’s, which became the industry trend setter. That has continued over the years with everyone else copying various Etesia models.
“When we first set-up the company I was adamant that I wanted to be able to offer them to our customer base. A lot of our customers have dated machines, 10 or 15 years old now, so I’m hoping to convince them that they should be replaced with Etesia machines! They certainly won’t regret it,” said Russell.

Allans of Gillock will be covering the expansive area of Northern Scotland, offering Etesia machines to customers as far as the Orkney and Shetland Islands. The company, which has built a great reputation since being founded in 1980, believe that becoming an Etesia dealer is a step in the right direction.

“Up until now it is fair to say that we have mainly catered for the domestic market but we are looking to reach more into the commercial side of things. We wanted to have a slightly more upmarket range of machines available and this is where Etesia comes in. They are renowned for their quality and I believe this is the next step to where we are wanting to go,” said general manager Alan Gair.
