Etesia will be launching their range of Greener City Equipment on stand C050 at IOG SALTEX 2017, which includes a range of environmentally-friendly battery-powered pedestrian and ride-on rotary mowers.

Taking centre stage at SALTEX 2017 will be the Buffalo 124 HVHPX four wheel drive ride-on mower and the Bahia M2E electric ride-on mower. The Buffalo 124 HVHPX is fitted with a 124-cm overlapping cutting deck and a 23-hp two-cylinder Briggs and Stratton Vanguard engine, and has a high hourly mowing output of up to 15,000 sqm. per hour.

The Bahia M2E is the world’s first fully electric ride-on cut and collect mower. Featuring all of the benefits of its petrol ‘brother’ which has made the Bahia a user favourite, with the added advantages of no odour, zero emissions, low noise, low vibrations, reduced maintenance costs and reduced health and safety issues for operators. This model has been developed around the chassis of the petrol-powered Bahia models and effectively has the same compact look with a cutting width of 80cm and grass box capacity of 240 litres. Power comes from 4 acid/lead batteries producing 48V, 115 ah and conveniently located under the operator’s seat which can be re-charged within six hours via a 16amp 200v power socket.

Also on show will be the complete range of battery-powered pedestrian mowers from the N-Ergy range. With mowers from 41cm-46cm cutting widths, push and single speed available, there is a mower suitable for everyone.

The exclusive Duocut cutting deck on the N-Ergy range is the perfect combination of 100 % collection and 100 % mulching decks. A very high collection performance thanks to the smooth inside of the deck. A full opening of the exit of the ejection channel which is favourable to the removal of grass cuttings without clogging in a 50-litre box – even in extreme weather conditions.

Completing the Greener City Equipment range on show is the revolutionary Donky 100% electric wheel barrow, which is available with a range of attachments to tackle a wide variety of jobs.

Visitors to stand C050 will also get the opportunity to see the new Bahia Hydro 80 MKHP4 E-Connect ride-on mower before it’s official launch in 2018.

The Etesia Hydro 100 was in fact the mower that helped Etesia make its entry into the world of green spaces. It was in 1989 and the concept was a revolutionary one – the first ride-on mower with direct ejection and integrated collection. This new concept made a strong impact on the mower market and rapidly became the standard-setter. Since then, the Hydro 100 has evolved and 2015 saw the launch of the Hydro 100 III. “We are currently looking into grants because I would like a new Etesia mower. At my ripe old age someone else is going to have to do it one day so I hope the club manages to get one.

“But hopefully that’s a long way off. I love what I do; it’s just like doing the gardening I suppose, except I get more of a reward from this. The award is just the icing on the cake really.”

Etesia UK has announced the launch of the Bahia Joyride – a unique ride-on mower controlled by a joystick or via GPS for autonomous operation.
Working in partnership with FeBroLift GmbH, the Bahia Joyride is operated exclusively by a joystick: some of its features, such as automatic emptying of the grass box (optional) or start/stop of the machine and cutting deck controls are all controlled from the central joystick control unit.

  The joystick control can be installed on the right or left hand side of the machine ensuring that the ride-on mower can be used by people with reduced mobility and also by experienced professionals.

Les Malin, operations director of Etesia UK explains: “We started from a standard Bahia with a Briggs & Stratton, Kawasaki or Honda engine on which we installed a joystick control as well as a servo motor for the steering and another servomotor for the forward drive, which enables users to control the machine with a simple joystick with all the controls within easy reach: blade clutch, initialisation to start and authorisation of mowing in reverse.”

The functions are simple:

• A steering control to go left or right;
• A steering control to go forward or backward;
• Starting the blades is located at the front of the joystick with a short press to turn on or off;
• An initialization button to calibrate the joystick when the machine is started;
• Mowing permission in reverse, to force the blades into operation when moving backwards with the machine.

The Etesia Joyride retains all of the features of a standard Bahia model. The compact design is ideal for multi-tasking and easily adapts to every terrain, every grass cutting situation and every task.

The pocket-size cut and collect mower, at just 0.82m wide and 1.98 m long, features an incredibly tight turning circle and is able to nip into every nook and cranny as well as being able to be easily transported in the back of a van or on the back of a trailer.

Etesia UK has announced that Forest Park and Gardens, Mowers UK and Blakewell Services have joined its extensive list of UK dealers, and will be distributing the company’s complete product range.

Since 1989, when Etesia revolutionised the green space industry with the Hydro 100 ride-on mower, the company have, year-on-year, introduced market-leading and innovative solutions.

Forest Park and Garden, the family dealership based in South Wales, will be distributing Etesia products in the area of Swansea. The company has rapidly grown since its founding in 2008 and over recent years the company has quickly become leading specialists in the sales and service of quality outdoor products, catering for professional arborists, landscapers and gardeners.

Commenting on Forest Park and Garden’s new Etesia dealership status, managing director Rhys Coles said: “We try and supply products that we know we can stand behind and that are perfect for our professional customers. The Etesia Attila mower has become synonymous with cutting high, dense vegetation in difficult terrain. Now, Etesia UK is pleased to announce it is available as a fully automatic robotic mower with the use of an iPad.

The Etesia SKD ExxDrive has been developed with partners FeBroLift GmbH and is a completely new type of external operating concept that allows the user to operate the device reliably and precisely by means of a gesture-controlled operation via an app on an iPad – without having to sit on the mower itself.

All functions, which the device contains serially, can also be accessed via the tablet, including the permanent use of the ‘deadman button’ during use which ensures safety at all times. If an emergency does occur; the device can be switched off via a secure emergency stop function.

The biggest advantage of the Etesia SKD ExxDrive is that it can be fitted with a dual wheel kit and be used on steep slopes where mowing work can be carried out with a low risk to the operator, who can stay at a safe distance and avoid risks of being injured, while still ensuring a high productivity in difficult terrain.

The Etesia SKD ExxDrive retains all of the features of a standard SKD mower including an 85cm cutting width and cutting decks with steel reinforcements specifically designed to withstand different mowing conditions for a long period.
